I just spent the weekend back in my ol’ hometown, London. As soon as I got off the plane, I noticed the immediate difference in British and European design vs American. London is where I earned my design chops, and it will always have a special place in my design soul. Simple idents like this one for Dublin Writers Festival by Aad make me yearn to return to that little island stuck in the Atlantic. Maybe, just maybe, one day I will return.
Some friends of mine painted the top mural here in NYC. Then a company called ?What If! Innovation! decided to live up to their name and be really innovative. Sigh.
The first image you see at the top of this post is a mural we painted a few years ago. Check out the work images and the video for our process. The second image is of the reception area at the London office of a company called ?What If! Innovation. We are flattered that you liked our work so much, ?What If! Innovation!
This is ?What If! Innovation’s Twitter page. Please leave them a comment telling them how much you appreciate their dedication to punctuation marks and innovation.

What a great idea - I love how this artist has tapped back into the world of the child’s imagination by asking “What children’s drawings would look like if it were painted realistically?”
“What does UNHATE mean? UN-hate. Stop hating, if you were hating. Unhate is a message that invites us to consider that hate and love are not as far away from each other as we think. Actually, the two opposing sentiments are often in a delicate and unstable balance. Our campaign promotes a shift in the balance: don’t hate, Unhate.”
